How would one pronounce that?

It's a Maori name. It's pronounced syllablically like Spanish. "Ng" is a guttural sort of "n" sound, said way back in your throat, that doesn't have a good equivalent in English. So Nga-who-ee-ah, I guess? It means "many birds".

the NG is a glottal stop. You say it when you say words ending in -ing, that's how I learned to say it in my linguistics classes.
