Is naming a boy Sage a really bad idea? (Note: I'm not actually thinking about doing this, I'm just asking what you think. I've never really thought of it as a very girly name, but I was looking it up today and I was surprised by how many people did.)

In my mind it's definitely a girl's name. But I know a little girl named Sage so that's probably why.

I think of it as a boy's name. If I have my way it'd be the middle name for a future boy.

The first time I heard it as a name was on a male video game character, so I've always thought of it as a boy's name, haha. ^^
Even if I didn't have that connection, I'd still prefer it for a boy- it sounds really masculine to me.

I tend to use it on girls in my head, but the first time I saw it as a name it was on a boy.

I would most definitely use Sage for a boy. It's one of my favourite names for boys. I hate it for girls, probably because it's so popular and everybody will think I'm weird for using it on a boy.

I love it for a boy. It seems way more masculine than feminine to me. I've only ever heard of boys with it as a name IRL, too.
