Double Fail
Feb. 3rd, 2011 03:49 pmWould you facepalm if I told you I met a fellow named Michael Jackson yesterday? Maybe not. Michael and Jackson are both common names, they'll inevitably end up together. He looked like he might just possibly have been born before Jacko hit the airwaves, and even if it was shortly after, his parents may have a) not been up on pop culture, or b) figured he was a flash in the pan.
But then I saw that his middle name was Angelo. And now I know there is no excuse for his parents at all.

Date: 2011-02-03 08:58 pm (UTC)I read the first part. Michael Jackson, both are terribly popular, but whatever. Then, I get to the middle name, Angelo, and thought 'But, MJ's middle name is Joesph'. Then, I read the full name and -facepalm-

Date: 2011-02-04 12:47 am (UTC)A guy I graduated with was named Will Smith :p I mean, odds are there are lots of them out there since they're both common names, but it was funny when his name was called over the speaker one time and some people behind me who must not have known him were like 'LOL Will Smith!'
Also, a TA in one of my classes last semester was named Chris Brown. Poor guy having the same name as an asshole like that.
