What do you think of the name Warner? Our daughters name is Aida (prn. Ade-uh), and we've pretty much settled on naming our son (to be born in May) Harvey, but I'm so addicted to names, I can't help but continue looking just on the off-chance that we'd find something we liked better than Harvey.

I also really like the name Verne, wdyt?

Warner, Verne, Harvey?

ETA: I really love the name Vern now that I've thought about it but my husband almost instantly nixed it when I mentioned it because he said all he could associate it with was Ernest saying "know what I mean Vern?!" What do you think about the association? Problematic or no?

i like harvey the best. warner sounds too much like a last name to me. verne's alright, although i prefer it spelled as vern.

Warner sounds like a pretentious, privileged frat boy who goes to Harvard or something. Reminds me of Warner from Legally Blonde.

I don't like Verne.

Harvey makes me think of Harvey Kinkle from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I like it.

I like Warner and Verne. I'm not a huge fan of Harvey but it isn't bad. I love V names so Verne is nice IMO.

Vern is such an awesome name! Not as awesome as Harvey of course. :D

Harvey reminds me too much of the fast food joint, Harvey's. But I think that's a Canadian thing. It's not a bad name, that's just where my mind immediately goes. Same as when I hear Wendy-Wendy's.

Warner is nice.:)

Oh, and I love your daughter's name.

I like Harvey best. Do you have a middle name? Harvey Warner or Harvey Vern could work depending on your last name:) I had a crush on Harvey off of Sabrina the Teenage Witch so I'm pretty partial to the name:)

I'm not a huge fan of Harvey, but I think it's the best one here.
Warner is too last name for me (and it makes me think of some bratty rich kid) and Vern makes me think of a nerdy kid (I can't remember where I'm getting this association from).

i actually like Warner, esp. with Aida.

i don't think you have to worry so much abt other kids connecting Vern(e) with Ernest as much as other adults. ecen then i'm not sure how many people will be quick to remember that.

He's already baby Harvey to me. :P

But you wouldn't be you if you weren't constantly looking for a new name until the day he's born!

Of those three, Warner is my favorite. I really don't like Vern, but I don't mind Vernon. Maybe that would be a good compromise? I saw someone wrote "baby Harvey" below, and that's super cute. for a lot of boy's names, i discover i like them with 'baby' before.

Harvey isn't my style, but I can see it's clunky-cute charm. Warner and Vern(e)... sorry, I loathe them both. They're beyond ridiculously dated. They barely sound human.

I like Warner. Harvey is a big no for me because my mom's dog is named Harvey and he's a huge pain in the ass and I can't stand him. I'm with your husband on Vern.

Warner is by far the winning vote here, especially with Aida.

There's a nerdy character in a Paula Danziger book named Vern Verne.
