Jan. 29th, 2011 02:49 pmName heard on the radio:
Zona (the host asked what kind of name it was, and she said it was her first name).
Name seen on Facebook:
Alyse (is this pronounced "Alice" or "Elise"?) [edit to add: I'm weird because I don't come across the name Elise/Elyse very often and in my head was pronouncing it uh-leese, but I don't differentiate very much between "uh" and "ah" in names.]
Name from a book:
Yossarian (would you prefer this be his first or last name?)

Date: 2011-01-29 08:47 pm (UTC)I've seen Alyse pronounced either way. I tend to pronounce it like a cross between the two - the longer eee sound of Elise, but starting with a more pronounced A like in Alice.
