1. Are Stella and Klara too theme-y to work as names for identical twins?

2. How do you all feel about Robin on a boy?

3. I also need a boy name and a girl name that sound nice with Samira (and that sound nice with each other, of course). Preferably Arabic or Spanish (I have my reasons) names, but not an Arabic name and a Spanish name.

1. I'd say no, not too themey. I'm sure you have your reasons, but I'm going to push "Clara" anyway. Clara is one of my favourite names and I have an unreasonable aversion to most K names. Feel free to ignore me (obviously).

2. I prefer Robin for boys than girls

:)

Lots of people use matchy names for twins...I know Clair and Blair and a Jason and Mason lol. I dont think Stella and Klara scream matchy...a little too close for me, but not crazy close.

I prefer Robson or Robinson to Robin for a boy. I don't really like Robin on a girl either tho lol

Stella and Klara seem fine. Except for the fact that Klara looks icky. I vote Clara instead.

Not a fan of Robin in general, but it's an ok boy's name. Makes me think of the bird, and it's not a strong, masculine type bird to me...so it seems like a weak name.

I know a little girl named Hope Samira. I love her name. But Hope probably isn't what you're looking for...

I knew a male Robin a while back, he went by Rob and/or his last name (Duke).

This article (http://www.livescience.com/culture/baby-names-effects-100610.html) was pretty interesting to me. It has a section about girly names on boys that you may find helpful. =)

And after I posted I read your comment on the origin of Klara. And that I can respect.

For some actual suggestions:

Aida, Dinara, Kahleela(h) for girls

Farid, Kamil, Mazin for boys

i like [livejournal.com profile] rorylareina's suggestions of Khalil, Farah, and Samira or Esteban, Adela, and Samira :)

i don't particularly like Robin on a boy (or girl, for that matter) but i do like the suggestion of calling him Rob for short (but then again, if he's going to be from an affluent family in a private school, they might use Robin, like if the reasoning behind it is because of family)

i think Stella & Klara are fine for twins (i'm with everyone else, i like Clara better, but if you have your reasons for using K instead, then that makes sense!)

1. I don't really see a theme between Stella and Klara. (I do have an intense preference for Clara, but you weren't asking about that.)

2. Robin on a *fictional* boy can work. On a real kid, I would desire to kick the parents.

3. Isabela and Mateo

It comes to my mind belatedly that Stella means star and Clara/Klara means light. Is that why you were worried about matchy-ness? I don't think it's a problem.

And I (also belatedly) saw your note about Klara. I still sort of recoil in horror from that K, but if there's an actual reason for it I can deal.
