My cousin had her daughter December 23. She named her Katelynn Ray. Kate from Catherine (her middle name, she didn't like it with a C), Lynn from...Lynn (our aunt's middle name). Ray from our grandfather, Raymond, who passed away a little over a year ago.

I was never a fan of Katelynn (in any form) but it's growing on me because she's such a precious peanut.

Oh, and I'm 99% sure I never posted what I named my son. Weston James was born September 14. It was a huge compromise of a name (I wanted Noah James, he wanted Auto Volt), but I definitely think it suits him. We call him West.

Not a big fan of the spelling, but I think Katelynn Ray sounds great, and I love the reasoning behind it.

I like Kate, but not necessarily Katelynn or its varieties. I like Catherine though.
I am actually naming my son Noah! I am glad that you vetoed Auto Volt. It sounds like a car part. :/ Also, your son is beautiful. Congratulations on the semi-recent addition.

Yeah, I tried to talk her into a different spelling (just once) and she was adamant on the spelling she chose.

I like Kate, too. I was going to use Catherine for a middle name if #2 was a girl, but yeah. Didn't work out that way.

I'm still a little sad about not using Noah. But I guess if he couldn't use Auto Volt (ugh), I had to compromise, too!

lol, right? What a nightmare. It was so hard agreeing on anything because our tastes are SO different. I ended up writing a list of about 50 names I didn't hate. He crossed out all but four and we consulted family to help us finalize the decision.

I found out after Weston was born that I actually have a great great uncle West (my grandma's uncle). Which is funny, because I found out after my daughter, Amelia, was born that my grandpa had an aunt with the same name. So I think Weston was meant to be. :)
