didn't realize it at the time but after googling halcyon, both are name mythical birds. Definitely not my style, WDYT?

I know a woman named Halcyon (pronounced "Hal - see - yon") and it fits her really well. I don't know if I would use either though.

I have considered Phoenix as a middle name for a girl (I'm a comic book geek) and while I probably wouldn't use Halcyon, I kind of like it and like the theme of the sibset.

I'm not a huge fan of Phoenix, but Halcyon is a guilty pleasure of mine (when pronounced HAL-see-uhn). I don't think of the myth when I hear the word, but the "peaceful / carefree" definition.

The only Phoenix I've ever known was a girl, so seeing it on a boy is a bit odd. Halcyon isn't that bad, either.

I kind of like Halcyon, actually. I think of "halcyon days" when I hear it. Hal could be the nickname.

I like them both. Themes are over-rated, but kudos for doing something unique. I like unique.
