[identity profile] emiliewtf.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

I've thought about what I'm going to name my future children, and I decided that since we've decided that we're going to try for a boy and a girl; even if we don't get one of both. That these are the two names that I think are cutest.

girl :
Brody Wednesday
-I got the idea from reading posts back when I first joined and a girl talked about someone she knew naming their daughter Brody Thursday. But I really like Wednesday.

boy :
Braden Riley
I just kind of came up with that, because a long time ago I knew a guy who's nephews name was Braden. And I've always liked the names Riley, Miles, and Chase. But the other two names don't go very well with the first name.

Sound good to you guys?

EDIT//

Now I'm drawn to the name Ellie for a girl
but I can't think of a good middle name to go with it.
Any suggestions?

I think your middle names are fine, but I hate Brody (sounds like grody) and Braden is just another Aiden name to me. Chase Riley or Miles Chase would be much preferred to me. :P

I like each set of names on their own, but I'd be worried if I had two kids named Brody and Braden people would assum they were both boys. :/

braden and riley are both really trendy names. that may not matter to you, but i thought i'd point it out!

i kind of like brody, but not for a girl. brody and brady are also rising in popularity. and with brody wednesday, it feels like brody is then an adjective... and it reminds me of grody.

I'm not a huge fan of Brody for a girl, but I think you could pull it off. It's one of the names we considered for a boy. Braden Riley is cute. We had already picked out the name Riley before we knew if we were having a boy or girl. We ended up having a girl, but we stuck with Riley. I saw that some one pointed out that Braden Riley was really trendy right now. I don't think there's any harm in that. Kids are going to prefer a name that's "normal". I think sometimes people go a little over board trying to be different and ignore the effect it can have on their children.

Braden Riley is way too trendy for my taste. Sounds like the name a 13 year old pregnant girl would give to her doll (baby). Chase Riley is better.

I can't decide if I like Brody or not. As a nickname it'd be cute, but I'm not sure about it as an actual name for a girl.

I like Braden Riley (very cute!), but I'm not so fond of Brody. It also makes me think of Brody Hutzler from Days of our Lives, so I'd probably assume that Brody would be a boy and not a girl.

Brody and Braden sound so similar. Are you sure that you want your kids to have names that both begin with "Br_d"?

I like Chase and Miles alot though.

i hate the name braden with the fiery passion of ten thousand suns, and that's where i'm going to stop.

you could always use Brody as a middle name for a daughter, if you really have your heart set on it.

Brody is a boys name...

Your boys name is nice, though.

Ellie Mae? Like from "The Beverly Hillbillies"? Cute name - weird reference.

Don't forget, you're naming an adult also. Your baby won't be an infant, toddler or teen forever.

Sorry but I hate them both. A lot. Brody is a boys name and not even a good one at that. I can hear the kids calling her Grody Brody already. Awful. Ellie is MUCH better. Like, a zillion times better. I think it's a bit nicknamey but compared to brody, it's GOLD. I like it as a nn for Elisabeth, Melody, Melanie, Amelia, Eleanor, Isabel, Annabel, Felicity, Noelle or Penelope.

Braden is too trendy and too popular for me. Miles and Chase are both really nice. Miles Braden? Chase Braden?
