The list of dual gender baby names for 2009 made me want to cry. especially Armani.

Your thoughts?

LOGAN? Seriously, do people name GIRLS Logan? Really? Good god.

That said, I usually don't like unisex names. Unisex nicknames like Charlie and Sam are OK IMO.

Ugh. I really dislike dual gender baby names. A lot of those make me gag.

Yeah, I dislike most of these.
There are a lot of girls out there with some horrible names, lol.

My daughter is a Sidney, but to me that's a girls name, but that's just me! Many of them are awful though...

Interesting, thanks for posting! I don't mind some unisex names (like Morgan and Casey, for example) but most of them I like on either boys or girls. Harley, Ariel and Alexis are all girls' names to me, for example, while I consider Parker, Reese and Logan to be boys' names.

I like;

Casey
Rowan
Peyton (Only for a girl)
River (Only for a girl)
Reece
Sage
Lyric (Only for a girl)
Reese
Parker
Morgan
Cameron
Micah (Only for a boy)

The rest I like as either a boy or a girl name. ♥

My son is a Dylan...never would have considered it for a girl.
Lyric sorta stuck out to me as a pretty girl name, but I wouldn't use it.

I think Jesse on a boy should be spelled without the I. Dakota is a girl's name to me, and Devyn should be spelled Devon or Devin on boys. Armani? No. I don't like the name Justice. Harley sounds like a boys' name, except I think of Harley Quinn, but then I just think of a deranged woman. I hate the Jaidyn and all their variants. Same with Peyton. Kasey is really just the same thing as Casey, and I don't like Amari or Kamari. Reese is a girl's name to me, and so is Quinn. Don't like Phoenix, River, or Lyric. Ariel is a girl's name to me, and so are Alexis, Eden, Harper, Kendall, Addison (yeesh), Reagan, Morgan and London. I don't like Cameron spelled Kamryn, and to me Cameron is a boy's name although I guess it works okay with a boy. Micah is also a boy's name to me.

Casey, Riley, Avery, Jordan, and Sidney are the only names on this list that I really think could go either way - although I'd spell the girl's name Sydney. I also love Charlie on either, but only as a nickame (for Charles or Charlotte). One that wasn't listed that I think is a good gender neutral name is Hunter. I like it on boys or girls.

As a high school teacher, I've had far more female Logans than male ones.

I have an uncle Sydney. It is one of the few unisex names that I like for both genders.

I think of Harley Quinn too, but then I remember her name was actually Harleen.
