[identity profile] zombiemombie.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

We nixed the whole girls list I posted yesterday. My husband wants suggestions of names that will go well with Aida. If we're having a boy, his name will be Harvey.

I hope someone can help us because I spent my entire first pregnancy absolutely obsessing over names and I just don't care to do that again. I just want to choose a name and stick with it so it's one less thing to worry about.

If we're having a girl, her name should be --

___________ Emery Leigh Rodriguez

she will be joining big sister Aida Samantha Jane.

We both like old-fashioned names, but the biggest factor for both of us in choosing a name is its popularity level, and if it's on the rise toward the top. The less popular the better. But nothing too 'out there'. Normal, unpopular, old-fashioned girl names.

Please help us!

I personally love Flora, as others have also suggested. I don't care much about whether sibling names match or not, but Flora & Aida does sound good, in my opinion!

Haven't read all the other comments in detail, so I'm sorry if there are any repeats.

What about Cordelia? It's old-fashioned, not weird, but certainly not common, and Cordelia and Aida both have a literary/theatrical history, so I feel like they go together in that way. Cordelia Emery Leigh Rodriguez... sounds good to me.
