I remember Dresden Ash. I still think it's absolutely horrific. Dresden reminds me of the Dresden bombing...and then ash? Horrible.

Yea, I wasn't sure which ones I had posted before. The story I've heard is that the father loves the Dresden Dolls and added Ash because it sounded like a superhero name.

I think it's weird that people younger than me are having babies, even though it's not really "too young" or out of the ordinary... I just don't feel like a grownup yet, lol. (HS class of 2003)

The only name I actually like on here is Elizabeth. Some of the other names are okay, just not ones I like personally. A few of them are not so great, like Cydney--I read it like kidney at first. I'm assuming it is said like Sydney.

I know. There are very few names that shock me in this community, but the imagery I associate with Dresden Ash is just chilling.

But...didn't anyone mention the obvious connotation to him? O.o If I had a name combination I loved but then I found out it had to do with the massacre of thousands of innocents, that might be a reason I'd reconsider.

I agree with you on Abbey. My husband has a friend named Abbey, and that's her real name--it's not short for anything. Always struck me as odd.
