[identity profile] pickleshmickle.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I haven't been on LJ in a very very long time as my hubby gave up WoW so in return i gave up LJ, sad huh?  well i had to get back on here today to tell y'all the doozy of names i heard today.  on facebook.  yes, it's one of THOSE finds.

three siblings:

Kaetlyn 8 yrs
Cantyn 6 years
Kanyon 4 yrs

my mind is swimming.  it's almost, ALMOST a dr. seuss rhyme, except dr. seuss is awesome.  and awesome does not equal this group of names.  so it's NOT dr. seuss. strike that.  it's like so crazy to me they seem fake.  the only thing wrong with this is Cantyn seriously should be spelled with a "K".  and then it would be beyond awesome.  as in awesomly terrible!

I LOVELOVELOVE the name Canyon. Nix the K though. The others are very blegh.

I really dislike all of them.

I think, sadly, that it's supposed to be like Canton (the city).

I like Caitlin, or Katelyn, or any other more standard spelling of the name, but Kaetlyn is weird.

My younger sister had a friend in high school named Caety, pronounced like Katie. I always thought it was pretty stupid.

My sister's name is Katie and my mom wanted to give her a 'unique' spelling too. Luckily, she was talked out of it. K.D. was the front-runner. *sigh*
