Jul. 20th, 2006 10:21 pmJames or Jameson???
Also, what do you think of the name Ursula? I once knew a little girl with that name (before Little Mermaid) and I'm sorry but I just don't like it. It doesn't sound pretty or feminine to me (and again, this has nothing to do with Little Mermaid).

Date: 2006-07-21 02:29 am (UTC)I actually like Ursula, it sounds pretty to me if I can forget about Little Mermaid, but because of LM I wouldn't use it.

Date: 2006-07-21 03:27 am (UTC)The Polish version of Ursula - Urszula, pronounced Oor-SHOO-la - is quite popular there, and I think it's nice. People named Urszulas are called Ula (OO-la) for short. I like that a lot.
But Ursula, the English version & pronunciation - not so much. I guess I like the idea of it - it starts with a letter you don't see very often, it's a very old name with a pretty funky meaning, etc... but it sounds kind of ugly.

Date: 2006-07-21 01:38 pm (UTC)I think Ursula is not an attractive name, regardless of Little Mermaid. I think its the "Ur" beginning that throws it off for me.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:35 pm (UTC)I didn't think I was being too trendy with the name Jameson. The reason I am thinking Jameson is because I love the name Jade for a girl (have loved it for years and years) and I think if I end up with a boy and a girl (no kids yet) Jade and James sounds too similar. Jade and Jameson don't seem quite as similar.
