James or Jameson???

Also, what do you think of the name Ursula? I once knew a little girl with that name (before Little Mermaid) and I'm sorry but I just don't like it. It doesn't sound pretty or feminine to me (and again, this has nothing to do with Little Mermaid).

James, because the -son names bug the crap out of me. Especially on girls.

Jameson

I actually like Ursula, it sounds pretty to me if I can forget about Little Mermaid, but because of LM I wouldn't use it.

I either think of LM or Phoebe's twin sister on Friends (Lisa Kudrow/Lisa Kudrow).... but Ursela just doesn't sound like a little girls name.. then again Amber (my name) doesn't really sound adult either. ;) I perfer Jameson - it's less common.

James, please.

The Polish version of Ursula - Urszula, pronounced Oor-SHOO-la - is quite popular there, and I think it's nice. People named Urszulas are called Ula (OO-la) for short. I like that a lot.

But Ursula, the English version & pronunciation - not so much. I guess I like the idea of it - it starts with a letter you don't see very often, it's a very old name with a pretty funky meaning, etc... but it sounds kind of ugly.

I like James better than Jameson. I think Ursula is just plain mean.

James. Jameson (Jame-son?) is just yuck. Jamison isn't really much better.

Ursula is not very nice sounding at all, even without the bad references.

I like both james and jameson. I kind of didn't like ursula because of that movie but there is a news caster in my town named ursula perry and I like her a lot. She would be the reason why I use the name.

I was going to say I thought of Phoebe's twin on Friends :)!!

I like "James" better... it's classier.

Definately James. Jameson only brings Jenna Jameson to mind. James is a strong name that suits an adult and a child and has a few nicknames to make the name suit the individual; Jimmy, Jim, Jamie.

I think Ursula is not an attractive name, regardless of Little Mermaid. I think its the "Ur" beginning that throws it off for me.

Jameson is being used as a girl name lately. Plus. James is like the BEST name. Solid, classic -- Why would you want to make it tryndee?

james or jameson? depends, is his dad's name James?

I have a cousin named ursula. I like it.. I hate that the little mermaid ruined it.

James.

I hate Ursula. You're right it's not feminine or pretty at all.

Ursula is horrible. And it sounds very similar to "arse", arseular

James. Jameson is sort of classless in my mind (plus the last name of a famous porn star).

I think I'd like Ursula were it not for the Sea Witch problem.
