So I met a mother of five at the park today. Her kids were aged between fifteen months and eight years, and they were named;

Augusten (Gus)
Hugo
Marion
Audrey
Penelope (Nell/Nellie)

Another woman came to join us with her two children. I later discovered she was the other womans sister. Her children were called;

Trystyn (girl)
and Denzell (boy)

WOW. I couldn't believe how different their tastes were from one another, particularly since they're from the same family!! I actually really prefer, and quite like the first womans choices. Her sisters....well, thats another story. lol.

What do you guys think?

The first set is great. I agree that the second set is bad.

Gus, Hugo, Marion, Audrey, and Nellie sound great together.

Trystyn has too many Y's, and even Tristan is a masculine name to me. Denzell sounds like a last night.

It is interesting the difference in the same family. I see that in my family too, with my cousins. One cousin uses super popular names: Sophie June, Ella Jane; while the other sister/cousin uses Chase, Rees, Devin - much less common names.

The first set is great, although the only ones I personally like are Hugo and Penelope. I prefer August to Augusten, but I do like the nn Gus. All of the names go together well.

Trystyn is terrible. I like Tristan, but for a boy. Denzell just makes me think of Denzel Washington.

I would never want to use any of them. Tristan, if it was spelled correctly, would be my pick.

People are going to say that about my sister and I. She has one son, whom she named Eron Angel. (Eron is pronounced like Aaron.) I'm sure that if she has other children, they will be have similar names.

We don't have children yet, but our top names are Norah, Iris, Claire, Eva, Simon, Dominic, Walter and Soren.

I think the first is a good set, even though I'm not particularly fond of any of the names. (I dislike Nellie and Gus, and hate the name Hugo.)
I really dislike the second set. I prefer Tristan on boys (I've never seen it on a girl) and that spelling is horrible.

Yeah, the difference between my sibs and I (and all my cousins w/ kids) is pretty noticeable too! It's interesting to see the different tastes within families. :)
