I almost think it's cute, although I'm not sure how cute the kid will think it is when she's not a kid anymore. But I think I'd like it better if the first name was more common.
In most cases, true -- but I saw the name not because I'm a teacher's wife, but because it was posted (along with all the other class lists) at this year's back-to-school night. But yes, in most cases, middle names can be as private as you like.
Serafina is nice but I think Ladybug is awful. I'd be mortified if someone found out my middle name was Ladybug, just a good thing it's not the first name.
No one should have the name "bug" in their name. Charles Darwin was an avid collector of beetles and even he didn't think to name his kids after insects.
Serafina is okay (I prefer Seraphina), but it should be paired with something nice and classic. Serafina Jane, Serafina Elizabeth, Serafina Charlotte, Serafina Grace...
ladybug? that will be nice if and when she graduates highschool, or kindergarten, or jr. high for that matter. and college will be great. i think middle names get seen a lot more than people really realize. and i think if i were an employer and saw that i would laugh.....
Thank you! :) It all started when my son kept saying there wasn't a baby in my tummy, it was a bumblebee! So we referred to the baby as Bee through my whole pregnancy. My husband and I were having the hardest time agreeing on a middle name and we finally decided that Bee was just perfect for her. :)
This is the kind of name my wife would do ANYTHING to get me to agree to for our future daughter. But, Ladybug is Not a name and embarrassing imo. Seraphina is okay but kinda princess-y for my tastes.
I like Serafina, though I prefer Seraphina. Ladybug is a cute nickname, but I don't like it as an actual name. Better middle than first, but it's still not going to age well.
