The fact that Lakota is a tribe is what instantly struck me, and I just can't say that's a smart idea. Ridiculous. Landon is fine.

Landon is my #1 boys' name, and has been for a while.
Lakota just strikes me as an attempt to make a matchy sibset. :(

I knew Lakota was the name of a Native American tribe. If you think about it, Dakota has the same origins. However, Lakota's not my style, simply because I have known no less than 2 dogs with that name, so for me it will forever hold an association with canines.

Landon is overdone, IMO.

I have a friend with a son named Landon and I don't think it's terrible. I already knew that Lakota was a Native American tribe, and I strongly dislike Dakota so Lakota is worse, as a name :\
