My boyfriend and I were pretty set on the name Olivia Jane for our daughter, who is due in October, but the name Sienna came up a long time ago and I just can't seem to let go of it. At this point she just feels more like a Sienna to me.

WDYT of this name? Any middle name suggestions? I'd like to keep the middle name short since her last name will be on the longer side (4 syllables)

I love both names you've picked out. Olivia Jane is classic and lovely. Sienna is a little more modern, but I think it has a classic feel to it.

Sienna Lynn(e)
Sienna Isabel
Sienna Marie

I think Sienna feels more modern than Olivia, but I'm not really feeling it. Reminds me of the color name burnt sienna. It's pretty but just not my cup of tea :) If you think she feels like a Sienna go for it!

I like both, though I prefer Olivia, but then I also own a Toyota Sienna. However, if she's feeling more like a Sienna to you, then go for it. And I think Sienna Jane would be just fine.

I think Sienna is lovely. Olivia is VERY popular right now, and Sienna is far more unique.

I like both. I don't love either, BUT I have a problem with super popular names, so in this case, I would for sure pick Sienna. Sienna Jane sounds nice and she won't be the 5th Olivia in her class. :-)

That sucks! I would HATE if that happened to a name I loved. I don't mean that it should completely stop you from using it, and some people honestly don't care about popularity! I grew up a Jennifer of about 5 in my class and hated it. I always wanted something more unique.

I prefer Olivia. Sienna makes me think the colour burnt sienna (which I don't always like), the car by Toyota, and the name Sierra (which I lean towards hating).
Go with Sienna if that's what you're both feeling. Either way, I'm sure you'll just KNOW once you actually meet her. =)

My sympathies.. I've wanted to name my son Aiden since I was little, and we all know what happened to that. :(

I wouldn't let the possible popularity of a name put you off completely. I'm a Lauren born in 1980 with millions of other Laurens, and even growing up in a fairly large city with fairly large schools, there was never more than one other Lauren (if that) in my classes. I've never worked with another Lauren. It's entirely possible that your daughter would still be the only Olivia in her class.

I really love the name Olivia Jane, but you have to go with what feels right. Why not Sienna Olivia? As long as your surname doesn't end in an a, and it doesn't spell something like SOB or SOD.

I like Sienna better than Olivia, and it is less popular too.

I've known a Sienna, but I'm not the hugest fan of the name. I prefer Olivia Jane, but that's just my humble opinion...if you really want to name her Sienna, go for it! I think Sienna Jane is a good combo.

I prefer Sienna Jane to Olivia Jane. Jane is a name I'll probably use as a girl's middle name, if I ever have one. I just don't really care for Olivia and Sienna is such a light, pretty name. I say Sienna :)
