In my newest fandom, Lee and Lynn are having a baby girl and they're going to name her Lee. I know Lee is gender neutral, but it strikes me as odd to have it on a girl, when it's also the dad's name. Thoughts?

It's actually not totally unheard of for girls to be named after their fathers. As a celebrity example, Jamie Lynn Spears is actually named after both of her parents: James "Jamie" and Lynne Spears. I also knew a girl named Brandy whose dad was named Brandon.

I love the Ariel, Bridgette & Marie sibset. Always have.

Also like Manuel and Lily.

And the only Lee I ever met was a girl...suited her very well! I like it better than the Leigh spelling, actually.

I think it's weird when a parent and child share the same name without having something different to go by. For example, James and James nn Jamie/Jim is fine. I don't see what else Lee could go by. Also, I know I've seen it used on girls, but the Lee spelling is all boy to me.
