Of the (at least) 2,095,910 baby boys born last year, (at least) 102,992 were given an -ayden name. That’s over 4.9%–about 1 in 20.

Wow! I can't say I'm really surprised, but I am kind of saddened.

Sad. :/ I don't think any of the variants are particularly masculine, either. Sure, Brayden might sound cute on a little boy but I cannot imagine a man with that name...much less Jayden, Kayden, etc. Right now 5 girls I went to HS with are pregnant and they are all choosing some form of the name Brayden for their baby boys.

Aiden is the only name like that I ever liked...but I would never ever EVER use it.

I have a 7 year old nephew named Hayden, so the only two I like (Hayden & Aidan/Aiden) were never an option. But that's astounding.

I used to love Aiden but could never use it now. :-( I'm so afraid of the names I choose becoming popular!

Quaden could be another version of Kayden/Caiden.

Aside from personal taste (I think Aidan or Hayden really aren't bad names at all, but the rest are) names like Jhayden and Zaydynn seriously hurt my eyes. What were those parents thinking? It looks ridiculous!

Thanks for posting this though, very interesting!

Same here. Otherwise I got more and more depressed as I read down the list.

I wouldn't pronounce that Brayden, I'd pronounce it "bread + N", which sounds like a mispronunciation of Brendan.
