[identity profile] righteous-twist.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
These are some names my boyfriend and I are thinking about for future babies (I'm not even pregnant...we just like to plan ahead :D).

For a girl:

Indianna (Anna for short) Elizabeth Jane
&
Isobel Elizabeth Jane

For a boy:

Corbin/Corben (Ben for short) Jozef Gilmour
&
Oliver Jozef Gilmour

(Elizabeth, Jane, and Jozef are family names)

I MUCH prefer Isobel Elizabeth Jane. Indianna is kind of tacky in my opinion.

I like both Corbin and Oliver. I can't pick my favorite.

I know I am totally alone in this, but I see "Isobel" and all I see is "eyeso bell." Isabelle/etc is a very pretty name, I don't even know why that spelling irks me so much. ha.

I love Jane in just about any combination, and I love Corbin and Oliver.

I love Anna, why not just use that? Isobel is pretty.

I much prefer Isobel to Indianna. But I think Anna Elizabeth Jane is a better name. Isobel Elizabeth seems a little redundant to me (I believe Isobel is the spanish equivalent of Elizabeth?)

I love Corbin and Oliver - I can't really choose between them!

My daughter is Jane Elizabeth. :) I don't like Indianna but I do like Isobel. Both boy names are really nice but I have a strong negative association with the name Gilmore/Gilmour so I would never use it personally. It's hard for me to think about it objectively.

Isobel and Oliver totally win.

I think Indiana would be better than Indianna (although I dislike both, really), but just plain Anna is one of my favorite names ever.

And I know it's a family name, and even a legit spelling, but Jozef looks so odd to me.

I don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said.

I prefer Oliver to Corbin and prefer Corbin to Corben.
I think Isobel is great and I don't like Indianna (even if you did spell it like the state, it just doesn't sound good to me).

I could be wrong, but...I think Isobel is the Spanish variant of Elizabeth. ^^

I love Oliver; Isobel is okay.
Indianna is horrible (I would just go with Anna). I've never liked Elizabeth or Jane, but since they're family names and all... ;)
I don't like Corbin (I like Ben), Josef, or Gilmour (I'm more familiar with it as a last name).

I prefer Isobel, but I also like Indiana spelled like that.
[livejournal.com profile] yggdrasilian is right though...since Isabella is the Spanish variant of Elizabeth, I think Isobel might be some variation too.

This. Isobel is the Scottis form of Isabel which is a form of Elizabeth. You can find more information about it on behindthename, but it'd basically would be naming her Elizabeth Elizabeth (even though both names are good!).
