I was surfing around on Facebook, as you do, and came across 2 unsual names (well, I think they are, I've never met or seen another person with these 2 names).

The first one I saw was Jorgia. At first I thought it was Georgia, just spelt differently and said "Jor-ja". Now I've noticed it's actually "Jor-g-ia" so I assume it is some kind of messed up Georgia. I don't like it either way though. I guess it's slightly better than Jorja which is apparently a name, nothing comes up for Jorgia. What do you think? Maybe she just made it up?! I can't actually see her wall to see if people are actually calling her by it.

The second one is Blaise (female). Apparently it's unisex for that spelling. I just don't like how it's spelt, how it looks or how it's said, although I don't like Blaze. Again, thoughts? My prediction is more people will like this name to the other, and probably more will like Blaze over Blaise. I'm curious, reveal all please!

Jorja makes me want to say it like Jor-gah, I don't know why since there is no g. I think that's what puts me off. I guess there is too much pronunciation of the g in Jorgia (I want to say it Jor-gee-ia) to make it flow as nicely as Georgia... but since they both end the same I guess you could just say Jorgia as Jor-juh, the same as Georgia is Jor-juh. I mean, I assume her friends are calling her Georgia. I really can't find anything on Jorgia on the web though so who knows how she says it.

I know a girl named Blaze. I think it's a stupid name for anyone, however they spell it.

Offended by the stupid spellings, haha. I thought I'd seen them all over the years, but that's a new one.

I don't like my name, I much prefer Georgina or Georgianna.

Jorgia is awful. I personally think it's worse than Jorja. I don't understand why anyone would choose to use either of those spellings when they could use Georgia instead. :(

Blaise I do like, especially on a girl. And I much prefer it over Blaze. That just doesn't seem like a name to me.

I went to school with a Jorgia, I like it TBH as for Blaise, it's interesting... but I'd be pissed if I had that name... but then I have a rare/odd name so yeah...

I'm an Atlanta girl. At National Latin Conventions, we used to chant, "G! E! Orgi, A! Orgy is our middle name!"

"Jorgia" keeps the orgi but eliminates the rhythm. Pity.




I like Blaise, as in Pascal. Pronounced Blezz, and only on a boy.

I don't mind Jorja, but Jorgia is not nice at all. Blaise is a boy's name to me, because I just think of the character Blaise in Harry Potter.

I used to have a student named Blaize (female). I would consider Blaise to be a boys' name, partly because it makes me think of Blaine.

I like both Georgia and Jorja, but Jorgia looks like an awkward mix of both names.
