Lilith: Like! Maeva: Like, but I very much prefer Maeve. Olathe: Not a fan. Aveline: Quite nice Avelina: Again, quite nice Morning: Hmm. It's so close to mourning! It could definitely work as a middle name though, as you suggested above.
Forrest: Like Giles: Not my style, but not bad Clement: See Giles Clive: See Giles Mozart: Sounds pretentious. I'd like Amadeus better, too. Lorcan: Nice!
Lilith: like Maeva: love this and Maeve Olathe: can't decide if I like it or not Aveline: like (nn Avi) Avelina: prefer Aveline Morning: pretty! (middle name)
Forrest: love Giles: like Clement: like Clive: don't care for Mozart: maybe as a middle Lorcan: like
none are my style but morning i find ridiculous. Saying "good morning, Morning" sounds terrible. It would be an okay middle name... And to me naming a baby Mozart would be like naming them Jesus...
Lilith--beautiful sound, but as it's the name of a horrible child-eating demon, I'd have to pass. Maeva-- Maeve is great. Maeva strikes me as a totally unnecessary variation. Olathe-- what? Aveline-- Seems very backwoods-hick to me. Also makes me think of Vaseline for some reason. Not a Terrible Name, just not my style at all. Avelina-- a little better than Aveline but not much. Morning-- too literal to sound like a name, to me. I'd go with Dawn, Aurora, etc.
Boys:
Forrest-- yes, Mr. Gump comes to mind, but it's still a good name. Giles-- Buffy the Vampire Slayer's mentor. Also sounds weird as a first name. Clement-- ugh. As clunky as cement. Clive-- goodness, we are very British, aren't we? Well, maybe you actually are! Nothing wrong with that, but in the U.S., at least, names like Giles and Clive are almost joke-level British. Mozart-- very strange. I can only assume you're a die-hard Mozart fan. If you're not, I wouldn't even consider it. Lorcan-- it's so unfamiliar to me that I'm tempted to write it off as Just Weird, but I actually really like the sound of it. Assuming it is a real name and not made-up, I like it best of all your choices.
Alot of these names aren't on my list, I just put them together to see what people think. Lorcan is a Gaelic name, I'm not crazy about it, but it's nice enough. Maeva is supposedly the French variant of Maeve. I like it because it sounds better with my last name. Olathe is a Native American name, not sure if it's Creek or Cherokee or maybe something else, but it definitely has a unique sound. Still unsure if I like it or not.

Date: 2010-05-19 09:06 am (UTC)I wouldn't like Mozart as a first, but as a middle maybe. Same with Amadeus.
