I've decided if fetus 2.0 is a boy, his middle names are going to be "Oliver Linton". it's a literary reference and in honor of someone I love very dearly.

but I haven't come up with any first names that feel like "the one". the top two right now are Theo and Edric, but I'm not sold. suggestions for what name would you put in front of "Oliver Linton"?

some facebook finds:
sisters Adelaide and Arcie

sisters Andromeda (Andi) and Alexandria (Alex)

I like Christopher Oliver Linton. I think it sounds very "complete".

I would go with Theodore rather than just Theo.

Some boy names that popped into my head:
Nevin
William
James
Neville
Nigel
Benjamin

I think you can generally control what people call your child, esp when he is young. My son's initials are JP and one of two people were like, "Oh, hi, J.P.!" I put the brakes on that one right away and now no one calls him that. I don't think people automatically jump to Teddy for Theodore.

You know, the more I think about it, I think nicknames trend, too. When I was born, Theodore would have been a Ted or Teddy. These days though I think Theo is a preferred nn. Kinda like Christopher, there seem to be just as many Tophers now as Chrises. This made more sense in my head LOL. When I was a kid, William was Billy. The one kid called Wil or Will was exotic. Now its just as common to have Will as Billy, if not more so...not to mention Liams.

I think you are 100% right about that. Just like you don't see many Edwards nicknamed Ned anymore (which I actually love and might use if we ever have a boy).
