Elijah or Elisha?

Just pondering this. Which do you like better Elijah or Elisha? Elisha is a family name... I like both just wanted to be another p.o.v.!

Elisha sounds like Elisa with a lisp, and is one letter away.
I definitely prefer Elijah, also because I like Eli (EE-lie) as a nickname.

I know it sounds like a female name, but it was my great-grandfather's name. I have been thinking of using it lately as a way to honor my own grandfather because he is very proud of his father and I think it is a beautiful name. I never got to me Elisha myself, but he sounds like a strong man.

Oh yes, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you can't use Elisha! I like the idea of honoring someone with a name.

Definitely Elijah. Whether it's right and fair or not, a little boy Elisha will be assumed to be a little girl with a fancy spelling of Alicia. Boy named Sue, anyone?
