Bland as it may be, I think Ava June is gorgeous.

It's My-ell? Ewww. I was saying May-elle, which was just as bad. It is awkward to pronounce either way.

I pronounce it May-elle. Or Mah-elle in French/Dutch. Both are awkward.

I don't know for sure how these people are pronouncing it, obviously. But there was this athlete at the Olympics named Maelle Ricker, and the way people said her name, the first syllable sounded like "my". Maybe "mah", if you don't slur it, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be "may".
