[identity profile] bloomingtulip.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I went to www.babychums.com for a different reason, but I found this gem.

---------------
Chef Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools announced that they are expecting their fourth child in September.

Jamie and Jools are said to be “delighted” to be adding another child into their family. They are already parents to three girls, Poppy Honey, 7, Daisy Boo, 6, and Petal Blossom, 11 months.

A statement for the couple simple read, “Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce that they are expecting their fourth child.”
---------------

Holy crap at those names. Any ideas for the fourth?

*EDIT* I have been informed that there are double middle names: Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, and Petal Blossom Rainbow.

yea, good point. i guess i tend to look at names separately, maybe? i mean, i love the name poppy, but i would never in a million years pair it with honey. who does that? oh right, quirky chefs. ;) i do think theyre cute though - the first names anyway, and blossom.

Lilac Sunshine = girl #4

Wonder what they'd name a boy....

It's the middle names that make the names horrible. My mom calls my son Boo, that's bad enough, but for it to be their legal name? That's just mean.

Basil Cinnamon?

Oh totally Basil Dashing for a boy!

For a girl, maybe Rosemary Lovely or Currant Pie. Bwahahahhaaaa.

The girl's proper middle name is is "Boo"? I've definitely been guilty of adding a "boo" or other such sound to the end of a baby's name, (particularly calling my cousin Kayla Boo when she was little) but I wouldn't make that part of their actual name!

I wouldn't pair Poppy with Honey either. what?

I kind of like Petal Blossom. I wouldn't do it, but if I was going to go that route, that's the best of the lot. Reminds me slightly of the Fossil's names from Ballet Shoes for some reason (Pauline, Petrova, Posy Fossil).

In keeping with their theme, though. They have two P flower first names, one D flower first name. Maybe another D girl?

Daffodil Sugar
Dandelion Heart
or
Sunflower Lemon
Rose Fancy
Iris Rainbow
Marigold Zephyr

or for a boy, maybe
Thyme Royal
Mulberry Knight
Dill Dragon

Went to crazy town a little bit.

You know, I bet the boy gets a completely normal name - it will be Poppy, Daisy, Petal, and James.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Maybe even if it is a girl...

Poppy and Daisy Boo are alright, I guess. But lol @ Petal. Blossom would have been a better first name. Ah, having hope that they'd name the fourth one a name not to lol over, but after three, I don't think so. Um...I guess, Basil if it's a boy, would fit right in?

I love him and his kids' names, with the exception of Petal. I LOVE Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo though. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Dude! What kind of crazy... I mean, Petal Blossom Rainbow?

Separately, most names are nice enough, but all of them in just one sibset... overkill.

It's probably gonna be a boy-- I'll guess Basil Olivier Oliver.

Yeah...

But whatever, their dad's a celeb (much bigger in the UK than the US) so they'd get a ton of attention either way.

I think I would have liked Poppy Honey Rose better...the repetitive "ee" is weird to me...and Pamela just seems random with Daisy Boo, but I'm sure its in honor of someone.

Those sound like poodles--or My Little Ponies. Can't decide which. Those names will not age well past toddlerhood!

I like Violet Summer Rose for a 4th girl...or Basil August for a boy

I'm really not a fan of any of those names. Poppy & Daisy make me think of ladies that lived in my (late) grandmother's nursing home.

Hey, we've got James next to sisters with more unconventional names, so your comment amused me.

Their name choices are definitely not my style. To put it politely. "Daisy Boo" is adorable, but only as a nickname for Daisy. idk what they were thinking giving her "Boo" as her honest-to-God middle name.
