1. Out of what names can you get the nickname Ash (for a boy) besides the names Asher/Ashton/Ashley? Doesn't have to start with 'Ash'.

2. Do you like the name Milo? I predict it'll be on the rise in the US...but I live in Canada, and I don't know the trends here (how sad lol). Anyone help me out?

I prefer Miles to Milo. And i like it pronounced Mee-lo, not My-lo.

Milo is a something you mix into milk to make a drink here, so no. I don't like it at all.

1. I can't think of any others besides the ones that were mentioned.

2. I don't like it, but I love Miles. I could see Milo rising a little in popularity in the next few years, although I'm not sure if that will just be the US or Canada too.

1) Ash --> Asha, Asante, Ashanti, Astraea, Adrasteia, Astrid, Anastasia

2) I love it! I don't think I'd use it as a first name, but I would certainly consider it. :)

2. I like it; I think it's kind of geeky, but cute. (I'm neutral to Miles.)

1. The only one I can come up with is Alexander. I feel like Ash is a stretch, but no more so than Sasha!

2. I like Milo. It's endearingly offbeat without being totally weird. When I think Milo I see a wide-grinning kid with big glasses and paint spatters on his face--friendly, creative, a little dorky in a lovable way. I also see the kitten from Milo & Otis, but that's not a bad thing 'cuz he's adorable! According to Namipedia, its popularity is on the rise, but not in a huge way-- it's #323 in Canada and #449 in the U.S.

Definitely a cat. An orange tabby, to be specific. ;) I can only think of the movie Milo & Otis when I hear either name.
