[identity profile] familyguez.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hello again! You all might remember me from last year. I posted pretty frequently during my pregnancy trying to choose a name for our soon-to-be, now-here daughter. We settled on Aida Samantha Jane.

Considering how incredibly indecisive I was the first time around. I decided to just make a habit of researching baby names so that when the time comes for baby number two, I am prepared with a list of names I can choose from instead of trying to choose from the thousands I looked at the first time around.

So, future baby, if you are a boy I think your name will be Atley Emery Lee. If you are a girl, Mira (Meer-ah) Emery Lee.

What do you think?

Love Mira. I've never heard of Atley before so I'm going to let that one sink in before I form an opinion. First impression is it's kinda cute though.

Love Aida Samantha Jane. All the names are beautiful and I think they flow nicely together. Emery Lee flows nicely as well.

not a fan of emery ONLY because it makes me think of filing my nails. :/ i'm sorry. Atley is very interesting and cute, and mira is very cute too, some reason it makes me think of moira (only place i've ever heard it is in Pan, w/robin williams.)

atley & mira are way cute.

Love the name Mira (though I prefer it with an h), but I dislike that the boy's name has the same "ee" sound at the end of all three parts. Just my thoughts though!

I like Mira a lot but I don't like Atley at all. I've never heard of it, so it for better or worse it doesn't seem like a real name, and I think it sounds very awkward and un-name-like. But Mira I like very much. Aida is nice, too, but I bet you're already getting people who say AY-da.

I like Atley, but Mira isn't really my style.

Mostly I just wanted to pop in and squee that my name is Samantha Jane - nice choice for middle names!

Mira Emery Lee is wonderful! I've never heard of Atley before. It's alright, I'm letting it sink in, lol. Aida Samantha Jane is adorable!

I think Atley and Aida is too matchy. Also AtLEY EmerEE LEE is too, too much of the same sound in my book. I love Mira.

I don't like either, but Mira is the better of the two.
Atley's full name has a lot of "ee" sounds...

I'd always heard ah-EE-da. Like the opera.

Atley Emery Lee is really repetitious to my ears, plus all three names are kind of gender neutral which I don't love either. I'd prefer Atlas Elliot Lee or something like that. Mira and Aida are a great sibling pair though!

Any Musical/opera fan will instantly pronounce it Eye-ee-dah.

Yeah I always thought Aida is pronounced Eye-ee-dah. Like on this website: http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=aida

Mira is pretty and goes well with Aida.

Atley seems unfinished, like there should be a letter in front of it.

Atley Emery Lee is really rhyme-y. I have never heard Atley before, I don't think I care for it. I like the sound of Mira, I prefer it with an H.
