i know 3 girls who are pregnant right now.

Two of them are having girls. One baby is Amya Faith and the other is Alice Denine.

The 3rd girl I know is having a boy and is going to name him Olee (Ollie).

WDYT?

Amya - Not bad when it's Amaya or Amaia (the original spelling).

Faith - I really hate this name. I think it's because I knew a white supremacist who named his daughter Aryan Faith.

Alice - LOVE.

Denine - Don't love. I hope it's a family name because it doesn't match Alice at all.

Olee - Do not like this spelling at all and it's a nickname for a name I do love (Oliver).

That's funny, one of my friends just had an Amaya Faith. :) Anyway, my thoughts...

Amya - I like it, but I feel like the sound is getting a bit popular. 4 of my friends had daughters this year and their names were: Amaya, Aniyah, Ayanna, and Arianna.

Alice - NMS, reminds me of the maid on The Brady Bunch. I can't figure out why this name is popular.

Denine - Also NMS.

Olee - Dislike, but I do like Ollie as a nn for Oliver.

I hate Faith and love Alice. I'd like Olee a lot more with its proper spelling and if it wasn't just a nickname.

Amya - is not a name, Mia is a name and Amaya is a name... so is Amaia and even then I don't like it. I don't get what the appeal is and it's becoming SO popular too.

Faith - Alright.

Alice - I love this name!

Denine - Is not a name, Denise is a name, Damina is a name and Nine is a number.

Olee - is... you guessed it! Not a name! and to me -ee and -ie do not sound the name... there's a slight difference but it's there. I'd say this as Oh-LEE and Ollie as UH-lee there... see that's the difference.

Amya makes me want to say "Amy-AHHH!"
I really like Alice but hate Denine.
Olee makes me want to say "Oh-lay" or maybe "Oh-lee" for some reason, and it makes me kinda sad because I love Oliver nn Ollie but Olee is just stupid.

Amya Faith--well, Faith is fine, but Amya is sort of a pronunciation bomb. Is it Amy-ah? Ah-MY-ah? Am-ya? I'm guessing Ah-My-ah, but I'm sure I won't be the last to stumble over it.

Alice Denine-- I ADORE Alice [see icon]. Not crazy about Denine, which manages to seem both made-up and dated, but it's not embarrassingly bad and it's a middle, so I can forgive it.

Olee, esp. on a boy, is an abomination that should be outlawed. I don't even like it spelled correctly; this way makes me want to puke.

I like Faith, and I like Alice. Do not like Amya or Denine. And Oliver is a fine name, and Ollie would be cute .. spelt like that. And not as the full name.

Those are all bad, imo. =/

I dislike both Amya (makes me want to say "Amy-uuuh," lol) and Faith (HATE).
Alice is okay, but Denine is horribly ugly.

Ollie is lovely when spelled correctly and used as a nickname for Oliver. [livejournal.com profile] arbus mentioned Olee sounding like "Oh, lee!" and I concur.
