thinking of names...already
Jan. 12th, 2010 12:00 pmSo I'm having another baby in September and my mommy instinct has me thinking it's another girl.
My daughter is named Amelia Marilyn.
I'd like to use Catherine as a middle name, as it is my closest cousin's middle name (and also the name of a great-grandmother).
Names I'm contemplating:
Ivy Catherine (although her last name will start with a V so her initials will be IV, phonetically the same as her name, and I'm not sure how I feel about that...thoughts?)
Jane Catherine
Genevieve Catherine
Josephine Catherine
Elise Catherine
Please share any opinions or suggestions! Thanks in advance! :)

Date: 2010-01-12 05:07 pm (UTC)I don't think IV would be too bad... there probably will be few times she will go by just her first and last inital. I'd be concerned if Ivy V. sounded bad or ICV was bad. I don't think they are.

Ivy Catherine is also pretty, but I don't like the idea of Ivy V., as well as IV = Ivy

Date: 2010-01-12 05:39 pm (UTC)I knew a girl named Amy whose middle name was Michelle and last name started with Y. She thought it was pretty much the coolest thing ever that her initials spelled her first name. Not quite the same, but still, I don't know, your kid might love it. She might never tire of telling people. Over and over. Like every time you're in a group project and she writes her name on the paper. Or any time her last name comes up, ever. Yeah.
Even if she doesn't love it, I don't think it's a big deal.

Ivy is super cute too. (I'm having a Holly in April!)
