Ivy Carlisle Ward [she'd likely go by Carly]

Ivy Levi Ward [i like that it's sort of a palindrome, and I would like her to go by Levi]

Maya Levi Ward

thoughts? my partner is starting to budge from wanting Sunnie/Sunshine as the MN for the baby, should it be a girl. so I'm trying hard to find something she'll like better.

Carlisle and Levi are both very masculine. Why give her the lovely first name of Ivy if you're just going to end up calling her by her middle name? Makes no sense to me.

I kind of agree as well that if youre going to call her by her middle name, just make ivy the middle name and the other names the first name. However I knew a girl Carlisle but it was spelled Karlisle and she went by Karly so it doesnt seem to masculine or weird to me but..yeah. It's not my favorite name. I definitely like Ivy and Maya better. Levi I've only seen on Levi Johnson the father of Sarah Palin's granddaughter and so THAT seems more masc. to me.

I think Maya Levi Ward sounds the best though :) and i like it the most.

Levi is way too masculine.

Ivy is nice, though, and I like Maya a lot.

Carly is cute. But why name her Ivy if she's going to go by Carly?

I like Levi, go for it! Lots of people go by their middle name. Maybe it really is a southern thing lol. My BIL is John Delaney last name Jr. and he's never been called anything other than Lane.

I think when it comes to surnamey middle names, they should have meaning to your family, so I hope Carlisle is a family name or something.

I've never understood the practice of naming a child one thing and intending to call them something else. It seems silly. Carly is cute, Carlisle is a bit much. Levi is very much a boys name.

I LOVE Maya Levi Ward. I think Ivy is beautiful too, and like Carly. I like Carlisle especially because of the meaning behind it - i love middles that actually mean something (thats why i wasn't apposed to Sunnie/Sunshine).

Ivy Carlisle Ward sounds the best, BUT I love the name Ivy. Like everyone else said, why name her Ivy if you are going to call her Carly (which I don't really care for, but it's okay)
why not just name her Carly if that's what you want to call her?

I honestly don't understand why girls get boy names all the times, neither do I understand why people name their kids something and then call them something else. I know a family where all the kids have 2 names, but they are all called by their second name. It's a bit like, why don't you just use the other name as a middle name then? It's confusing to me.

Anyway,
as for your questions, I like Maya Levi the best.

I also want to say that I think Carly is a lovely name on its own.

Of the three, I like Ivy Carlisle the best. Carly is cute, although I think Ivy is prettier.

I really dislike Maya (I know, I'm pretty much alone on that one), and I think Levi is too masculine for a girl.

Well... since you asked... I love Ivy but I really don't like either Carlisle or Levi on a girl (though I do like Levi on a boy). I also think Ivy Levi sounds very awkward and strange, just sound-wise. Also, as someone whose parents decided to call me by my middle name, I can guarantee she won't thank you for it. It has caused me endless headaches, and while I'm too accustomed to my name now to change it, I really wish they had either called me by my first, or switched the names around.

I like Maya, so if the plan is to actually call her Maya, I vote for that one over the other two Confusion Bombs.

LEvi is VERY msculine to me.
Carlisle I could stand on a girl, I liked the idea of Carly.
I'm all for going by your middle name, I like that concept.
But I don't understand the palindrome thing, I can't see it.

Ivy Carlisle Ward is my favorite, but if you're going to call her Carly, then just name her Carlisle Ivy.

Levi is a male name...
