Colleen - Not my style...I think it's kind of outdated. Then again, if it's like a family reference, it's not an awful name or anything.
Francesca - Not my style, but pretty.

Mabel screams old lady to me, but I love Colleen and like Francesca.

I prefer Desmond over Declan, Clara over Kiara/Ciara, Claire over Clara, and Everett over Elliott and Emmett.

Max and Jack aren't too matchy, Scarlett and Elliott and bordering on matchy (though they're great names on their own!), Jessica and Francesca is pushing it a little bit.

Francesca = I like it in english, but oddly not in italian. Possibly because in Italy it's too common, in the US it's refreshing

I'm Jessica and my boyfriend LOVES Francesca, which is why that one is up there. For whatever reason, 9/10 little kids could not say "Jessica" and would therefore call me "Chesca" as in.. the second half of Francesca.

I mean, other than me not liking the name to being with, I think it's too similar sounding to be in the same family (even if they aren't both kids).

Scarlett and Elliott are both high on my list, and I've loved Elliott for much longer... but there are so few girls names that I really love and could see myself using, so it's tough.

At worst, Elliott works great as a middle name for some of my other favorites (like Max and Miles) and I'd be totally okay with one being a middle name.

Colleen - Reportedly, it means girl. At the very least, it's wretchedly uncreative. But, I dislike it generally anyways.
Francesca - It's always sounded a bit stuffy for my tastes.
Mabel - Cute, but too cute.

Those sibsets sound fine, except for Max and Jack, which do sound a little too similar to me.

Your opinion on matchiness is the same as mine, hah. My boyfriend and I suck on agreeing on names, and the few that we do agree on, I think they sound to similar to use altogether.

Except Francesca. He loves that name and I can't stand it, but I'm Jessica, so that one is mostly to "prove" to him that it's too close to my name and can't be used :P

The "ett" is my problem, too. I love both names, as does my boyfriend (and he hates my higher ranked boys names) and we can't agree on much... aside from Max and Jack. I've loved Elliott longer than all of those names, so I want to use it, but I fear not finding another girl's name that I (let alone both of us) love as much.

He likes the first three names, but I'm not sure any of them will really grow on me. Mabel has grown a bit and Francesca could POSSIBLY grow on me.. but I'm Jessica, and I think it's a little too similar, even if we wouldn't be siblings.

Don't think they'd be short for anything. I don't love any of the longer versions of Max, though generally speaking, they sound better for middle names. Jack, I haven't really looked into other names, but I don't really care for Jackson or John.

Any other siblings wouldn't be one syllable ending with a "k(s)" sound, though, so I'm hoping it'd be okay.

I mentioned it in an above comment, but my biggest problem with Francesca is that my name is Jessica. For whatever reason, almost every little kid who could not say my name called me "Chesca" ... rarely "Jessca" and never "Jessica." Chesca sounds just like Francesca, without the Fran.

I have a cousin (type person.. mom's cousin's kid or something like that) that I only see once a year, on Thanksgiving. Until she was 3, I thought her name was spelled Kira. At 4, I thought Keira (I discovered Keira Knightly). At 5, she could write and stuff, so we were drawing and writing and whatnot and she wrote her name as "Ciara" and I decided I love that spelling most. At the same time, even though it's the "correct" spelling, I know if I use it it'll always be spelled wrong on the first (or second..) try by people.

Aside from popularity, I wouldn't want to use the name Aidan because my boyfriend is Dan. Francesca isn't exactly the same, but it's similar enough for me to want to tell him that no, we can't use it.

francesca: my number one girls name, but the husband is not a fan ("it sounds like a soda" he always says... pffft!)

Colleen - this name seems outdated, but I am into shortened forms of more classic names, in this case I like the idea of "Colly" for short.
Francesca - No, i'm not a fan of this at all.
Mabel - I could definitely get on board with this one. Of the three, it's my favorite.


Desmond / Declan - I'm a HUGE fan of Declan. My partner vetoed it right off the bat when choosing names, and it broke my heart. I think it sounds so handsome and unique. Though, Desmond isn't bad either.

Clara / Kiara / Ciara - I'm not big on any of these but I have a cousin named Kira which is similar and I love that name. It's spelling is straight-forward and sounds similar to these.

Elliott / Everett / Emmett - I like Emmett the best of the three.


Max and Jack - Not too matchy, but if it were me I'd call one of them by the longer form: Jack/Maxwell, or Jackson/Max.
Scarlett and Elliott - I'm not sure they pair well, but they aren't too matchy.
Jessica and Francesca - These are a little similar sounding, yea. IMHO.
