[identity profile] 02895.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
my brother is having a baby at the end of june. he already has three girls, adryanna brittany, cara marie, and skyla-mae.

my sister-in-law likes the name dakota for a girl, but the only middle name that she can think of that it goes well is rae, which i think is silly becuase she already has a mae, what names do you think go well with dakota, that are original and you probably would not see on the top 100.

Lol that was my next point of attack but I just can't figure out wtf is going on with adryanna.

Does skyla-mae have a middle name? I feel like that name belongs in the family guy episode where they get relocated to the south.

its like its part of a sentence "i only want a dry anna, not a wet one" ick.

the skyla thing is terrible too, but at least cara is nice.

dakota is horrible, any way you slice it. give the girl a fighting chance. give her a classic middle name, like elisabeth or catherine or something.

Well apparently it's adrianna, but spelled stupid and it makes no sense. "I know my name is spelled a-m-y but it's pronounced bob cuz that makes sense and I'm difficultly different."

To be fair, the pronunciation here is pretty intuitive.

I would never look at "ry" and think it sounds the same as "ri".

Eh, I'm not a huge fan of the spelling either, but I pronounce Maryanne/Marianne, Brian/Bryan, Katherine/Kathryn, etc. the same, so this one doesn't seem as outlandish to me as other "creative" versions.

I guess I meant dry wouldn't be pronounced the same as dri.

Agreed, seems like making a mountain out of a mole hill...and has nothing to do with what the OP asked.
