It sounds like an Italian pasta. I'm not a fan.

I didn't say it was, just that it looks made up to my uncultured french-american eye(s).

Not in America, heh;)

Just saying, like the person below me, I've never heard it, never seen it. It might even sound different said in a Russian accent, but to me, I see something on an Olive Garden menu.

No, I don't think of you as a troll per se. Your posts are amusing, though.

I sort of like it, actually. I've seen it before, but it was spelled with a Y on the end instead of an I. Sadly, I doubt I could get away with using it--it would look odd with my French surname!

!!! My first thought was "sounds like a yummy Italian dish", and that is what I was going to comment with, but you beat me to it.

I have also seen it spelled Anatoly. I think to Americans it would sound extremely Russian, and possibly also a bit feminine. It's not inherently a bad name though.

Delicious! The first thing I thought was it reminds me of cannoli.

Reminds me of aioli. I like the spelling with a y better.

"What kind of pasta do you want for dinner? Just fettuccine?"
"Nah, how about anatoli?"

"So I was thinking of roasting pork cutlets and serving it with anatoli and sun dried tomatoes"

"A friend's daughter is named Annalyse"
"Anatoli?"
