My cousin named his new baby girl Ysobel Iris. How do you even pronounce that?? Is it just like Isobel?? Another friend of mine named her baby Cielo. I feel disappointed with these name choices :/

WDYT?

Just like Isobel. I think that's lovely... a bit difficult for cultures/people not familiar with it, but lovely none the less.

I like that spelling. Very pretty. I think I like Cielo, as well. It's different, but it's nice.

Ysobel is okay, though I don't care for the spelling. I don't like Iris or Cielo (I'm pretty sure I've heard this on a cat).

Is Cielo a boy or girl? I kind of like it for a boy.

And Ysobel Iris is lovely.

The car that my parents purchased for me so I could learn to drive a manual was a Daewoo Cielo. It was a piece of crap.

I think Cielo is sky in Spanish.

Ysobel Iris is beautiful. Ysobel is just kind of combining the Scottish form Isobel and the medieval French form Ysabel. But I don't mind it. Cielo isn't bad, but not my style.

In Italian, too. I wonder how they pronounce it (Italian way, Spanish way or something...weirder).

Ysobel Iris isn't bad at all--the whole Isabella/Isobel thing is a bit overdone, but Ysobel is a legit spelling of the name, as far as I'm concerned. In countries that use this, is the pronunciation the same, or is it something different like EE-soh-bell, for example?

I've heard of Cielo, too. Not my style, but not too bad.
