[identity profile] let-letitbe.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi everyone! I'm eighteen weeks pregnant today. We haven't found out the sex yet (we find out on the 29th of this month), but we have names picked out already. Very few people know our final names, but I wanted to see how some people think our final names compare to the ones we decided against WITHOUT knowing our final names. So, just please vote on this list without wondering which names we chose. :p

Abram Percival is also lovely, but Abram Brown is a mouthful.

i absolutely love abram (its on our list too) but not a fan of the other two boys names. im not big on percival, i would put joseph or michael as the middle, if those are the other two that you like. just my two cents :)

i love delilah and like thora, my vote went for delilah eleanor.

cant wait to hear which ones you have chosen.

i'd avoid using Alton and Brown together in the same name.
As for the girls names, I think Delilah Abigail sounds best, although I do like Eleanor better.

I don't like Abram, so I chose Michael Alton. Delilah Abigail sounds beautiful!

Joseph Abram Is definitely the best of your boys names.
Percival is awful, and Michael is rather boring.

Whilst Delilah is alright, prefer the similar Lila and Lilia, neither Abigail or Eleanor flow well at all in the middle.

Thora Alexandra doensn't flow too well either, but it's better than either of the Delilah combos.

Yeah, I realized that Alton Brown sounded really familiar. I'd avoid that too, unless the OP did that on purpose :)

Joseph Abram and Thora Alexandra were my favorites, but I liked Delilah Eleanor too. I think Thora is a little more unique than Delilah, which seems kind of trendy at the moment.

That's great but the point is there's a relatively famous food network personality named Alton Brown, so the other commenter and I pointed that out in case you didn't want people to think you named him after him.

It's not bad, but it could get annoying if people keep asking "IS HE NAMED AFTER ALTON BROWN?"

Years of Sunday School a Bible class every morning left an impression. I cannot stand the name Delilah. I think it sounds so cheap, and Delilah's one of my Biblical favorites, too. Ehhh... sorry. But Delilah Eleanor is my favorite from that group, and I love Thora Alexandra. Thora is very pretty. Mellow. Deep. Lovely. :)

Abram Percival = A+

Yep, I think the OP has already established that it it wouldn't be a problem.

I really can't stand the name Delilah. It looks pretty, but the sound and various namesakes just get to me.

I also thought of the chef Alton Brown. His popularity, however, is not such that it should significantly impact the reception of what is only, to be fair, a middle name.

I like Delilah Eleanor, and yet I still think of the Biblical Delilah so it has negative connotations for me. LOVE Thora Alexandra. Not a hig fan of Michael, though it's overused in my generation, but ALTON BROWN love!

I love Abram but it feels really awkward with Brown. Thora is a really lovely name. :)

Love Abram Percival.

The rest either make initial-words or, in the case of Michael Alton Brown, shares a name with a celebrity (Food Network host Alton (pronounced Al, not All) Brown.
