Okay so I've obviously heard the name Priscilla Presley a million times. But I heard it two days ago and suddenly out of nowhere it clicked in y head that I LOVE the name Priscilla. I dont know why. Ive never really liked it but for some reason at that moment I was like "that HAS to be my daughters name."
I'm not sure why. How do you guys feel about the name? Middle names?

i cant stand it. when i was a teenager there was a woman who used to hang around with the friend of a friend of a friend, kind of, i just kind of knew who she was, and she was complete white trash. couldnt stand her, so its just bad association for me i guess. i hadnt thought about her in years until this post.

The image of Priscilla Presley is just so stamped in my head. It's not that I detest her, but I detest the name because it's sooo "someone's" name.

thats what i always thought too. i just cant figure out why i changed my mind. i mean it wasnt that i thought of it as an okay name before. i didnt think of it as a name. cuz it was taken. and priscilla just isnt a name that can be used again on just anyone.

it was my absolute FAVORITE when i was about 10--i was stuck in an "i'm not having kids" phase, but i really wanted a big, expensive persian cat to call priscilla.

it's not really my current style, but it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Nowadays, it feels a little too frilly, plus the meaning is a little on the odd side. (Priscus = old, + -illa, which is the female diminutive, gives you a meaning something like "little old lady"!)

oh and i don't really associate it with Priscilla Presley, I knew a girl in high school named Priscilla... not that I associate it w/ her either but it made me realize theres other people with the name :)

Despite sounding "prissy," I actually love this name.
I had a substitute teacher once who kept calling me Priscilla even though I told him my name was Michelle, I guess he misheard me somehow. Anyway, I liked it too much to correct him. ^^

I LOVE Priscilla. There is a character in Anne of the Island named Priscilla Grant. SO pretty!

Because Priscilla is so unusual I'd use a fairly common middle name. Probably Elizabeth. Priscilla Elizabeth looks good. Or Priscilla Joy.

Yep, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was the very first thing that popped into my head.

I probably wouldn't use it myself 'cause it's not really the kind of name I like, but I don't think it's that bad. I think it's actually pretty cute.
