Mirabai? I LOVE it, but I can't get my husband on board.

It's a new one to me. Definitely intriguing and refreshing :)
I'm assuming female? She could always go by Mira.
I say press the hubby :D

hm. its ok. i wouldnt use it, but i would be intrigued if i met a little girl named that.

im not a fan of mira/myra as a name, or nickname, so that probably contributes to it.

I've never heard it either. It may grow on him. My husband never likes any of my names at first because I tend to go for things that you don't hear every day, but he always comes around in a few days. He'll go "remember that name you mentioned, well I really do like it now that I've thought about it!" The only one he has not come around to is Cordelia. He just does not like that name, which is fine because there are tons that I like more. My husband just never really did any research into names so the ones I like, he's just never heard of. His family all have pretty plain, common names.
I say give him some time to "get used to it". Sometimes when I hear a name, I need a day or two to mull it over before deciding to put it on the list.
We're not having children any time soon though, so my "list" is for my own enjoyment LOL

I've never heard of it. It's NMS but I don't think it's bad.

It made me think of Lion King, right off the bat. Simba's mom: Sarabi.

Sounds too made up.

I freaking love Cordelia. I passed it to my fiance with some trepidation (we're not expecting but just to chat) and not only did he like it, his great-grandmother's name is Cordelia too! I love family names. I can't get him on board with Ethan or Elisha though. I thought Delia or Leah could be cute nicknames.

His family also has pretty common names (although they gave Jazmyne a pretty bad spelling), and mine does too.

Well, I thought it was Mirabel, and wasn't too into that. Now that I actually looked at it, it's even worse.

My first thought was Lion King, like, wasn't that Simba's mom? But I guess that was Sarabi from the comment above.

Either way, it's quite pretty, but I think too many people wouldn't know how to pronounce it. Very African, I'm not sure where you live or what race you are or anything but, honestly I would be a bit confused if I saw a white girl with this name.

In America, maybe better as a pet's name.

I think it's lovely. It sounds like it should be the name of a place in India to me, but I still like it.
