There are a lot of disease names, or pathogen names, that are totally pretty. I was just telling someone that Klebsiella has a pretty sound to it, as does Shigella.
I honestly don't know. It's hard to pick up on sarcasm in the typed word. And considering what some people name their kids these days, anything is possible!
I associate it with the skin condition, and nothing else--BUT, even if the skin condition didn't exist, I'm just not a fan of the sound of Rosacea. I generally prefer just Rose/Rosa. Adding the "ay-shuh" sound on the end makes it a little clunky, in my humblest of opinions.
I don't believe that for a second. I remember you calling people "bitter" and randomly getting all incensed on the behalf of posters who suggest and adore truly, outrageously horrible names. "Don't listen to these snobs! They don't appreciate your uniqueness!" type of crap.
