Children of friends...

My friend, Ashley Nicole, and her husband, David Anthony, have two children. Gabriel Anthony Ryan (Gabe, 3) and Madeline Isabella Bliss (Madibelle, 1). Anthony was in memory of a childhood friend of her husband who passed away and Ryan was in memory of a childhood friend of hers who passed away. When Madeline was born, they wanted both kids to have the same number of names and the same number of syllables.

Ashley's friend, Megan, recently had to move in with them. She has two sons, Gavin and Mason, and is expecting a girl she plans to name Lyric.

I like all of these names, except Lyric and Madeline's middle names. I adore Madeline, Gabriel, Anthony, David, and Gavin; I like the rest.

Lyric and Bliss are just too much for me; Isabella is soooo overused.

My best friend named her dog Lyric, so I can't picture a child named that, but that's just a personal thing.

Bliss is a guilty pleasure of mine. I like it with Madeline, even though Isabella is so overused. Gabriel Anthony Ryan is nice, too!

The names are all really nice, so Bliss is really out of left field.

Lyric is odd, but I think I could see it. Sounds very new age hippy, but not terrible like meadow, shadow, skye, and the like. I met a Melody once and I thought that was pretty odd, but, I dunno, Lyric rings pretty in a weird way.

i went to high school with a girl named Bliss and it's been a guilty pleasure name ever since. i'm not sure if i would ever give it as a first name, but for the longest time i loved Ivy Bliss. i think i'd still use it as a middle name.
