ACK!! Someone used Judah Benjamin!
This was the name my husband and I had picked out for our first son until I realized Judah Benjamin was the #2 position of power under Jefferson Davis. We're not southern and I was really hesitant to use it. Then Dara Horn, who is possibly my favorite living author, published All Other Nights, which was so fantastic we were actually going to use Judah Benjamin again, confederacy references be damned. But now someone else used it, and I'm feeling strangely possessive of it, haha.


Also, totally random, but I'm surprised by the number of children some of your fellow alums have! Where is your alma mater located? I'm originally from the west coast where big families seem to be no big deal, but when I matriculated on the east coast all my professors (and fellow grads) seemed to have one child per family, or two tops. I was completely taken by surprise at the number of only-child families out here.
