Okay, my beloved grandmother's name was Teddye (she passed in 2005). I really want to use Teddye as the middle name of my next daughter. Only problem is, NOTHING seems to go with Teddye. So I need your help finding a name.

Criteria:

1. It cannot end in -a or -ah.
2. It cannot be in the top 200.

I tend to like unknown old-fashioned names. My favorite girl's name is Temple but that definitely doesn't go with Teddye. I also like Larkin but my husband doesn't. Any ideas?

I am having the SAME PROBLEM with my grandmother's name. She was my best friend (yeah, obligatory aww.) and died very suddenly of cancer in May 2008. Her Name is/was Linda, and I can't put that as a middle name with freakin ANYTHING... driving me crazy. I'm having a boy right now, so i'm not exactly in a hurry, but I just want to have a name ready! haha. My only other options are my sisters name (which is what we're currently stuck wit) Michelle, and my husband's sister who died when he was 9, her name was Mandi (long story, seriously, birth certificate name is Mandi) which i can't say I am too in love with.

Good luck for you finding a name! I think Brianna Teddye is cute! there's my 2c :)

How to do you feel about using Theodora as a first name and Teddye (or Teddy) as a nickname?

Duh, it ends in A, so that probably won't work. Sorry for the unhelpful suggestion!

Damaris Teddye was the first thing that came to mind for me. Most of the others I thought of were already suggested above.

This might not be helpful at all, but I just wanted to say that my cousin's name is Larkin and it is such an awesome name for a girl. There are very few Larkin's out there! Perhaps your husband will come around:-)
