a family...and Millicent
Sep. 22nd, 2009 11:41 pmI just found out the full names of the two girls I'm a nanny for:
Patricia Shirley Elizabeth(almost 3, goes by tricia)
&
Emily Julianne Jane (17 months) (this one irks me soley due to the fact that their last name rhymes with Jane)
I assume the middle names are family names, the parents are Ian & Julia (thus the Julianne i imagine) and they each have a son from a previous relationship...who ironically are Jeremy(9 or 10 i think) and Jeremiah(12)
also, WDYT of Millicent? I used to think of it as an old lady name or just a name in a kids book, but though not normally my style, I quite like it.

Date: 2009-09-24 09:16 pm (UTC)I can't imagine naming a baby Patricia Shirley. Not past 1965, anyway. Yikes. I love Emily Julianne Jane, or at least I love all three of those names, despite how popular Emily has become.
I like Millicent as a route to the nn Millie. It's not one I would use on its own merits, but it's not terrible, either. It does have a sweet old-fashioned, yet quirky style to it. You have my permission to use it. I'm sure that makes your life complete. :)
