[identity profile] pollysweet.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I recently posted asking for some help with the naming of my second son. My first sons' name is Micah. I like the lesser used Bible names. We have been toying with Noah and a few others, I like Luke and Elijah, but my hubby won't  go for for them. Anyway, today I was suddenly reminded of the name Asa. Asa was a King in the Old Testament. I knew someone a few years ago who named her baby boy Asa and I thought it was awesome. I no longer work with her and her son is about 6 or so now and I doubt we will ever see each other again except in passing.
Anyway, I don't know if I like it enough to use it even though I think it is so cool. I think my husband feels it sounds feminine. I could see where that might happen. What do you think... upon first hearing Asa, what were your thoughts? We really don't want any unisex names. I know that some consider Micah to be one, but  it is also an Old Testament Bible name and definitely male.

Thanks for any thoughts!
