A facebook college friend just had his first son today. His name is Bodhi Thomas. I, for one, looove it which is really strange since it takes me forever to warm up to a name. Hell, my youngest is 2 and I still wonder if it's too late to change it. LOL. WDYT about Bodhi?

thomas is the father's name.
truthfully, I've never heard it used, that I can recall. I do remember seeing it around in baby books though.

I know! We have 2 daughters and are hoping this one is a son. It sucks that I can't steal it. I mean, he's just a facebook friend at this point in our lives but we have like 25 mutual friends. I don't want to be a weirdie or anything. LOL.

I have some association with the word Bodhi and Buddha but I'm not sure it's legit. But, wowhowconvenient a unique word sounds like the common and endearing nickname, Buddy!

It looks like it's a Buddhist name meaning "awakening". That kinda skews my vision of it now. But I still love the sound of it.
