On the local news programme, there was a girl called Pebbles who must have been in her late teens/early twenties.

In the by-line of an article I was reading, I noticed it was written by an Olinka. Googled it and the only info I found on it said it was Czechoslovakian.

WDYT?

I think The Flintstones. Also, I had a cat called Pebbles, and so does Susan Boyle.

Olinka is a pet/nick name for Olya. It's popular in Russia...my doll is named that =)

A girl I knew in high school went by Pebbles - apparently her friends and family started calling her that because she resembles the cartoon character.

i strongly disline olinka. makes me picture a scary cold war prototype of eastern bloc olympian, haha.

pebbles is cute but i would assume it's a nickname.

Pebbles is an abomination. Olinka is kind of cute. I'd never use it, but of course I'm not Czechoslovakian.

I know a middle-aged woman named Pebley. I think it's her mom's maiden name or something.
