Kysa/Kaisa.

What do you think? How would you pronounce it?

I'd pronounce them different. Kysa would be Kye (like eye) suh/zuh. Kaisa would be Kay zuh (like Asia with a K).

there was a girl in the grade below mine in school with the name Kaisa, who pronounced it Kay-sa.

I've also read that it's greek, meaning "pure". And that it's pronounced "KY-sah". :-/

Well, it's a Finnish form of Katherine, which is originally Greek, and some definitions say that Katherine means 'pure'.

I had a friend in high school/middle school that went by Kasia, it was a nn for Katarzyna. It fit her, I always liked it.
