Hi all! My name is Kendal and I have two kids. My son is named James Zachary and my daughter is Molly Juriah. My sister in law is thinking of the name Bailey for when she and my brother have a baby. However, I planned on naming my next daughter Baya for the first name and Leigh for the second name so it would be Baya Leigh. Do you think this would be the same as them naming there kid Bailey?

First of all, Love the name Baya (I heard it on the real world) and my middle name is Leigh, so I love that too. It is really close to Bailey but unless you are going to say her middle name alot I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I like Baya, I like Leigh, but putting them together is way too cutesy. It's like when people name their kids Emma Leigh -- just name her Emily!

I think Baya Leigh is too close to Bailey, but it's not like you'd call her by her first and middle all the time.

I think it is very close, but I agree with the person who posted above me... you won't be using her first and second name together, you'd just be calling her Baya right? If so, I think it would be fine.

Yes. I think it would be way too close. Also, Baya Leigh just sounds kind of ridiculous. It is no different than an Emma Leigh or any other version like that.

I think naming your kid Baya Leigh would be the same as stupid, not the same as naming your kid Bailey.
