Month Names

Which month names do you think work well, and which don't work at all? I like April, May, June, and August, but I think that June or August are the only ones I'd actually use. I absolutely can't see a kid named July or March, even though I'm sure it has been done.

October - I went to school with someone with this name

Doesn't work:

September - might be cute with the nickname Ember
November - same as September
December - same as September

The only ones I'd use are April and October and maybe May as a middle name.

April, May, June, August work.. although I just don't like the way any of them sound as a name for a person.

I once a knew a girl named December that they called Semmie( Like Sammie with and E).

April is my third favorite girl name...I've loved it for quite some time now. May & June are so gorgeous as well. I can see August on boys, and November on girls, but I'm not a fan of either. The rest doesn't work for me.

I agree, some month names don't seem fit as names to me either!
The ones I consider acceptable are the ones you also mentioned, and also October and December (my mom considered the latter for me, as it's my birth month).
Maybe I could make a stretch to accomodate September and November, they do sound pretty.

My middle name is June, and I love it..it's different but not weird, it works with my first name, and it was my grandmother's name so it means something to me :)

i like June, October, & November. those are the only 3 i'd legit consider ever using. but i'm not opposed to May (i think i like Mae better, tho) i went to elementary school with a girl named April (she was born April 1st, LOL yeah) i also remember hearing about a girl named January.

I like January and October, and May spelt Mae. The rest that work (April, June, August) I'm not really fond of. I couldn't see February, September, November or December working. Having said that, I think March could work on a boy in a surname-as-a-first-name way; I'd never use it though.

I really only like April and May, even though I know that June and August are used a lot, as well. October sounds like it would be kind of cute, with the nn Toby. I could see it working, but I can't see myself actually using it.
